SAVED TO SERVE
To serve in any capacity in the house of God is a privilege. Although salvation is free, it is not cheap; it took the Creator himself to become Man and submit to an agonizing death on the cross to redeem us from darkness to light and from death to eternal life.
Whenever we have the opportunity to serve the Lord, we must take it with both hands without any reservation.
Apostle Paul said in Galatians 1:15-16 "But when it pleased God who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through his grace. To reveal his Son in me that I might preach Him among the Gentiles. I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood.
We should be able to learn some useful lessons from the above passage that we must absorb into our individual lives. The power to serve is only from one source- God who separated Paul from his mother's womb for the assignment to preach through His grace.
Paul did not subject it to debate between his souls flesh and blood or permit any arguments within member of his body to propose differing suggestions. He did not allow them to say" that the price is too much" or another to say "why will you do it. And for another to say: "but you have something else you could do. He disallowed flesh and blood to hinder him from doing what he ought to do for God he knew he was saved to serve. He also did not seek the opinion of other before he plunged himself to the assignment of serving the Lord
